Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their needs, and to find out about our services without difficulty. This page explains what we have done, where the limits are, and how to reach us if something is not working for you.

What we have done

The site has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

• Text and background colours have been checked for contrast, so the site is readable in bright light and for people with low vision or colour blindness.
• You can zoom in with your browser and the text resizes without breaking the layout.
• Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and there is always a clear marker showing where you are on the page.
• A “skip to content” link at the top of every page lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the menu.
• Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so screen readers can navigate them.
• Form fields are labelled, and if something is missing or wrong the error is explained in words next to the field.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the video on our home page does not play and animations are switched off.
• The home page video is silent and decorative. It carries no information that is not also written on the page.

Where the limits are

Two parts of the site come from other companies and we cannot change how they are built:

• Online booking. The appointment form on our booking page is provided by our booking system supplier. If you cannot use it, please call us and we will book you in over the phone.
• The map. The map on our contact page is provided by Google. Our full address is written out next to it.

We have not yet had the site formally audited or tested with people who use assistive technology. If you find something that does not work, we would genuinely like to know.

If you need something in a different way

Everything on this site can also be done by phone or in person at the pharmacy. If you need information in large print, read out to you, or in another format, get in touch and we will arrange it.
