Hepatitis B
Available through our travel clinic, following a travel consultation.
The hepatitis B vaccine is available at Kents as part of our travel clinic at 104 Walton Road.
Whether you need it for your trip, how many doses you would need, and how far apart they are given all depend on where you are going, what you will be doing there, and what you have had before. Our pharmacist works that out with you at your travel consultation, and will tell you what they recommend before anything is given or charged for.
Before you book
- Everyone travelling needs a travel consultation first — £20 each. The price above is charged on top of that, and only if the pharmacist recommends it for you.
- Book early. Some travel vaccines are a course given over weeks or months, so the sooner you come in, the more we are able to do before you fly.
- You will need to complete a travel risk assessment, back with us at least 48 hours before your appointment.
How to get this at Kents
- Book a travel consultation online.
- Complete the travel risk assessment we email you.
- Have your consultation, in person or by telephone.
- If it is recommended and we have stock, an in-person consultation can usually include it in the same appointment. After a telephone consultation we book a separate appointment.
What we go through at your consultation
- Where you are going, when, and for how long
- What you will be doing while you are there
- Which vaccinations you have already had
- Any medical conditions and medicines you take
The pharmacist then tells you what they recommend, what it costs, and how long it takes.
